The new pond
Last wednesday the new rubber came in, oxygen plants were planted, water
came in of course (fun). I was happy that we could let the frogs, salamanders
and fish free from theire tempory tight containers. At the end of the pond
we've made the groundlevel higher and made it possible to grow a natural
shore. It's great for the frogs that they can come out of the pond because
on sunny days they love to come out of the pond. In the old situation they
could'nt because the waterlevel was to low.
Caltha Palustris
The Fish were so happy
It was to be honest to early to buy oxygen plants because the plants were to
young to be well rooted. But we were just in time to give the salamanders the
plants they need to put there eggs on. When we emptied the pond we stoped
counting the salamanders that came out at 40.

How different the 20 year old Boxwood hedge is looking.
completely destroyed by the caterpillars of the Boxmoth.
It has to be removed because I don't want to use poison
in my garden. Time for a new plan
Fuchsia always brings color
The first roseflower of the season is not always
a perfect one. But Abraham Darby will bring new
better ones
A wonderful gift for all the special rescuework of what was
living in the pond came last evening. A new born Damselfly
on it's way to nature
I hope my pond will grow out to a paradis for wildlife again.
How wonderful it is to have birds in the garden. This little fellow with
the black cap has a voice
that makes the eardrums flapping
Have a wonderful weekend!!
