A lovely day
Aan de voorzijde van het huis stond een koude harde wind gisteren. Maar
achter was het heerlijk. De eend was al weer vroeg in de vijver om een bad
te nemen. Genoeg te zien om weer lekker te kunnen genieten. Blogger heeft
een probleem op dit moment. Niet alle foto's worden weergegeven.
At the front of the house a cold wind was blowing but at the back of the house
the temperatures were so much better. The day started with a look at the duck
taking a bath and a swim. Enough to enjoy in my little garden. Blogger has
a problem at the moment not all photo's show up.

Marijke, your blue bell and camasia is wonderful, love them. The Treepeony flowers are very early, aren't they? I think they bloom in May. Very pretty!

Hello, Marijke, I like your photos and comments in the captions. My favorite is the white tree peony opening up. I like your happy attitude. It gives me encouragement. Perhaps the "Can't remember it's name" is Iceland Poppy?

Die eend en die badende mussen: dat is toch heel erg leuk in je vijver.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDe boompioenen zijn ook prachtig en verder gaat er al veel bloeien bij jou.
De geel-oranje bloem is de schijnpapaver ofwel Meconopsis cambrica.
Zaait zich beheerst uit en bloeit lang door: een vrolijk schatje.

VerwijderenHet is gewoon een feestje om die vogels bezig te zien. Wat ook zo mooi is om te zien hoe intelligent de
eksters zijn. Als er een stukje oud brood in de tuin ligt gaat ie eerst naar de vijver om het brood te soppen.
Wat goed dat je de naam weet van de schijnpapaver!! En ik zie het inderdaad ook elders in mijn tuintje
opkomen.

Lucky Duck to have such a beautiful pond to bathe in! We were thinking this year to put some water for the birds outside, as we don't have a pond!

VerwijderenIt's lovely to see the birds around the pond. It's a great thing to put some bowls with water in the garden
for the birds they will be very greatfull for it. And the birds help you in the garden eating the insects you
don't want to see. The Peony does'nt get any fertilizer but the roses do. But the problem with the roses
is that the fertilizer is still on the soil because we did not have any drop of rain over the last 5 weeks. I have
clay soil in my garden and it looks like a rock at this moment. It does'nt help to bring on water.

but it's not easy to post a comment with it. I go back later during the day to the blogs on my computer and sometimes
I forget to post a comment. The roses that have buds at the moment were not pruned. The roses that were, have a different look. The temperatures are also different in a small garden as it is in your garden where the wind is free
to blow everywhere. The Treepeony's are much earlier in bloom as the years before.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenik zie al je foto's wel hoor maar ik had er ook last van. Ik heb toen mijn foto's opnieuw geplaatst.
Heerlijk die pioenrozen in je tuin maar ook de andere bloemen doen het goed. Altijd weer om blij van te worden :-) Nu we meer thuis en in de buurt moeten blijven ga ik ook af en toe over op de bloemen ;-)

BeantwoordenVerwijderenIl fait magnifique chez toi et j'aime beaucoup la scène du bain des petits oiseaux (chez nous on dit "zoziaux").
Je n'ai pas encore de pivoines au jardin, dans deux ou trois semaines probablement.
Allez la pluie est annoncée, voilà qui va ravir les plantes et m'éviter les arrosages.
Belle semaine à toi Marijke, prends bien soin de toi et des tiens, ce covid chamboule nos vies et pas dans le bon sens.
Il parait que c'est la Belgique qui comptabilise le plus de mortalité (rapport nombre d'habitants / décès), pas de quoi être fier, pour une fois que l'on est premier de quelque chose, ça me fait peur.
