Camelia
I still don't understand that the numbers of infected of the COVID keeps rising in Holland. Shops are closed for month's and we are having a curfew for weeks here. Nobody knows the answer and it's better to have a look what happens in the garden. It's great to welcome the flowers in the pink Camelia. Strange enough the buds of the white Camelia were all frozen while it's standing next to eachother.
I was afraid that my Hydrangya was frozen but having a closer look I've noticed that it was'nt
I was amazed to see that it's still alive now. I don't have to be afraid that it will bring a lot of shadow this year(fun) and hope it will grow a bit.
Two new roses arrived last week. And another will be delivered today. A terrible thing I have to accept now is that there is no space left anymore to plant new roses.
Sometimes I feel ashamed that I can't stop buying new roses. But than I think other people have more than 30 pairs of shoes a thing I don't have. (fun).
Have a wonderful day
Take care and stay safe
Good afternoon dear Marijke,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYes, it'a mystery that covid infected increases. With your long lockdown it's strange. I hope it soon gets better!Your camellia looks great! I envy your climate, because I want to have mine camellias in the garden too :)
It's so nice that your hydrangea survived the cold weather.
The helleborus is so beautiful. They have grown big in your garden.
Buy as much roses as you want! I have not many shoes either. I buy plants too :)
Have a wonderful day!
Rosehugs, Marit
Good evening dear Marit,
VerwijderenMaybe it has anything to do that the young children don't have to follow theire classes at home anymore. They are going to school now. They don't get sick but maybe they spread the virus. It would be wonderful for you if you could grow the Camelia's in your garden. You don't have to worry about having space for them to grow. But I've noticed that they don't like to be in the cold of frost. Only a week ago the tops of the Hydrangea were brown but now a bit green apears. I've noticed that the 20 year old Helleborusses are growing much better as the new variety's do. I wish I could buy more roses but than I have to plant them in pots what is to difficult for me. We've seen this year that winter can be around even after having so many mild ones. I don't have the space to bring them inside. And I agree with you do and buy what makes you happy!!!
Have a wonderful evening.
Rosehugs Marijke
I doubt that any of us could have imagined that we would still be so restricted by COVID a year after we first had to deal with it, and there are enough people who disregard the simple precautions that are need to prevent its spread that we seem to be unable to make progress. I fear it is going to be part of our lives for some time yet.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi David,
VerwijderenYes already more than a year ago when the virus arrived in Holland. In the beginning we were laughing a bit about all the panic because it was in China and we felt that it was far far away. But now we know better! I think also we have to get used that we are not be without it in short time. The only thing we can do is taking care and protecting our selves and don't expect anything from others. I hope the vaccin will bring a miracle.
Have a wonderful day and take care!!
Marijke
Good evening dear Marijke
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe answer about corona I think is blowing ind the wind. Wonderful camellia you show us today. I would also like to buy roses in stead of shoes, I don´t use them a lot. Roses are better but they need som space.
Have a nice evening
Rosehugs Lisbeth
Good evening dear Lisbeth,
VerwijderenIt's what you said the answer is blowing in the wind. I am happy that the cold did not damage the pink Camellia. It is beautiful. I also prefer to buy roses in stead of buying lot's of cloth's and shoe's. Problem is that the space plant them is finished (fun).
I wish you a wonderful evening and take care and stay safe.
Rosehugs Marijke
Goedemiddag Zem,
VerwijderenJa mooi he ze is zo mooi!!
Marijke
