2nd week of March
The time of rosepruning has come. Still a very difficult thing for me. After a very mild
winter the roses have a lot of new green already so difficult to cut them down. The first one
I´ve pruned is A Shropshire Lad. The weather is to bad to go outside. Maybe I should buy a diving suite to stay dry and warm lol.

Still a lot of to learn having a new camera. My lovely dog as a model
Last saturday finaly my dream came trough. Visiting the beautiful garden De Stekkentuin where 350 kinds of Helleborusses are blooming. Camera in the camerabag and off we went. But helas the
weather was to bad to make any photograph. Extreme rainfall and heavy storm where not the
ideal kind of weather to visit a garden. But many beautiful species where sold and ofcourse I
i could not resist to buy some new ones. So the trip was not for nothing. The new plants are still on the windowsill because of the weather. Day after day strong rainfall and very strong winds overhere since saturday. But better weather is forecasted after the weekend. The webside of the garden
I´ve visited De Stekkentuin
New Helleborusses
I hope we soon can start to complain how warm it is!! lol
Have a wonderful day

Hello dear Marijke
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI really like your description of the treepeonies that is just the way they look.
It is sad with the weather but perhaps we will not need water this summer, we can hope so.
Your new helleborus are very beautyfull, you must really enjoy them, but first ind the house.
Have a nice day
Rosehugs Lisbeth
Good morning dear Lisbeth,
VerwijderenI agree maybe we don't need extra water in the garden because of the amound of rain that's coming down now. The Helleborus does'nt like it to be inside the house. Maybe the weather is better today and I can bring them outside.
Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Rosehugs Marijke
All of these beautiful blooms remind me that spring really is on its way. It is supposed to get up to nine degrees here today with rain so perhaps very soon we will see green shoots emerging from the ground.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHelle David,
VerwijderenNo spring weather overhere. It looks more like it is autumn. But spring is around the corner. Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Marijke
Hello dear Marijke,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful signs of spring. Your Camellia looks great. The helleborus is so pretty. I love them, but they don't thrive here.
Have a wonderful day!
Rosehugs, Marit
Good morning dear Marit,
VerwijderenNo spring in your garden yet but it will come soon too!! in your garden. Can't wait to see your beautiful springgarden.
Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Rosehugs Marijke
Heerlijk weekend gewenst.
Marijke
Hello Marijke, lovely times ahead of us now. It is so good so see the sun shine more.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is a lovely time when the garden awakes again.
Your camelia is beautiful, have a lovely day.
Rosehugs, Ida
I do hope spring will come and the warm days start, Marijke. I see your purchase was lucky, very nice hellebore. I especially love the white one! tree peonies are interesting, they really look like the hands.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI liked your dog, congrats with your new camera!
Wonderful flowers, I especially loved the camellias, they are magnificent.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour dog is so beautiful.
Have a nice week

Hello Marijke,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou love "A Shropshire lad" ? me too. I boot this week-end a second, just for the fun.
The first one give his flowering directly to the garden of my neighbour ! so I decided that the second was just for me and I will plant it directly near my garden table.
You made a right choice for the Helleborus ! gorgeous.....
A kiss to your beautifull dog... (I like his eyes).
