Another beautiful day in May
Did you notice how much brighter the daylight is as it normaly
was. Time to go surching my sunglasses. Not even one drop of
rain last week. The garden needs water desperate.
Not an easy one to grow Ambridgerose
Abraham Darby
Clematis
Heavenly scented Mary Curie
Souvenir d'Alphonse Lavalle
Sourire d'Orchidee
Pretty Sunrise
And having this very bright daylight makes that certain roses
like a Shropshire Lad is loosing it's color very quickly
Blackberry Nipp
Purple Splash/O wow
Stanwell Perpetual
Enjoy this beautiful day, we never know what tomorrow will bring
Rosehugs Marijke
Good morning dear Marijke,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAgain lovely roses in your garden! I have just bought Ambridge Rose. Is it very difficult to grow? Lovely color at least... ;)
Stanwell Perpetual are too a lovely rose.
Enjoy your day too!
Rosehugs, Marit
Good morning dear Marit,
VerwijderenAmbridge Rose is a wonderful rose. I think mine had to much shade. It seems like it's doing better
now because we took the small tree away bringing the shade. I think roses like Stanwell Perpetual will be a
good one in your garden. I see these roses are doing very well high up in the north of Finland.
Have a wonderful day
Rosehugs Marijke
It's very comforting to know that some things remain the same the world over like getting out to enjoy the magic of early morning when everything is fresh, like the beauty and fragrance of roses on a sunny day in May, like wishing for rain, like uncertainty ...
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood morning dear Jane,
VerwijderenYes I think all over the world we experience the same Jane.
To smell the roses is the thing I miss the most in wintertime.
Have a wonderful day
Rosehugs Marijke
Hello dear Marijke
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am looking foreward to see my roses when I see yours, I have most of them and know when they are starting in your garden they will soon be flowering in mine. There are big buds, but som rain would be very good.
Lovely day in suneshine
Rosehugs Lisbeth
Good morning dear Lisbeth,
VerwijderenI can imagine that you are waiting to see your own roses getting into bloom. The vieuw is fantastic.
And so is the smell!! But with a bith of warmer weather things in the garden changes very quickly.
I am amazed to see how much water is damping away in the pond. Now I understand why the garden
is drying out so fast. Rain is promissed for fryday I keep my fingers crossed.
Have a wonderful day
Rosehugs Marijke
Dear Marijke, it's sad that there was no rain in your place. Of course, you need to water plants often. Here there is rain every single day, that lows the temperature. Your roses and clematises are beautiful as always. Are they healthy?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood morning Nadezda,
VerwijderenI wish you could blow some rain to Holland. The garden needs it. I don't have to water my garden
often because the roses find water because the root very deep. Only the new ones are under controle.
The Clematis is Warszawska Nike. And is a healthy one in my garden.
Have a beautiful day
Rosehugs Marijke
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat marvels are these opulent roses! My Abraham Darby is at the end of his life - he is over 20 years old - but still gives me some flowers. I'll replace it, as soon as I find a location for it - I like it too. Magnificent also the Souvenir of Alphonse Lavalle that I did not know.
Have a good day!

Good morning dear Gine,
VerwijderenBefore re-planting Abraham Darby I would cut down 1 old branche untill 2 cm above groundlevel.
New eyes will appeare if you are lucky. I did it with some old roses and it worked out well. Souvenir d'Alphone
Lavalle is an historical rose and a very beautiful one.
Have a wonderful day
Rosehugs Marijke
