Fantin Latour 2019

Breeder: Unknown

This rose came into my garden in 2015. I remember how disappointed I was about the
size at that moment. She only had 2 very small canes. I thought that's never going
to be a good rose. But looking at it now it loves the place that it got.

In 2015 no flowers because the flowers are formed at the cane the rose
gets the year before.

22nd May 2016 The first flower. A moment I will never forget

second flower 29th of May

20th of May 2017 A lot bigger as 2016

28th of May

The first flower in 2018 on 19th of May

2018 May not a small one anymore

The canes became heavy  when the flowers arrived halve of the rose
was hanging in the pond

2019 22 of May  the start.  A project was that year to renew the Pond. My husband
made something to get the rose a bit up again. I never forget about the work
my hushand had to renew the pond. New Pond

End of the story of rose Fatin Latour. Terrible thing is that I still have no idea
how to keep this rose in form. And when to prune it, and how much you can take off.

I wish you to have a beautiful new week.

A new week always brings something to enjoy.

  1. Dear Marijke, it's a very beautiful rose Davis Austin.
They say it's rose Centifolia and to prune it in winter .

  2. Good afternoon dear Marijke,

This rose is so pretty! I have seen it in Norwegian blogs too, so I guess it's hardy enough here as well. The color is very beautiful.
    Have a nice day!

    1. Good morning dear Marit,
It's a lovely rose with a great fragrance. I think the historical roses do much better in your climate as the
modern will. Is rose Aicha still healthy in your garden?
      Have a wonderful day

  3. Good morning dear Nadezda,
Fantastic to show me a link about rosespruning. I love it and it is so welcome. I've learned now that the
rose should be pruned after the rose is finished with it flowers. And also saw that old, not productive branche
has to be taken out to bring air into the rosebush.
    Have a wonderful day
    Rosehugs Marijke
