  1. Dear Marijke, what a nice collection of roses you have! I like them all but the Rose Marie Curie is special, beautiful.
Your peony is still in bloom, mine are in buds only.
    Have a nice summer day!

    1. Good moring dear Nadezda,
I think because we did not have a cold wintertime everything in my little garden was much earlier as usual. What I don't show that leaves of the roses are covered with blackspot. I always thought that blackspot apeared overhere because of our normaly wet summers. But it seems to be that the blackspot is more eventhough we had seen any rain for the last couple of weeks. But the one without blackspot is Marie Curie. It's a beautiful healthy rose.
      Have a wonderful day Nadezda
      Rosehugs Marijke

    2. Hello dear Marijke
Nice to see all your flowers. I am wondering about that your roses are finished the first flowering, and your peonies is just flowering now. My peonies are also flowering now, and you are before me, that is strange. My roses are just started flowering.
I did´nt know there was a rose called Paul Richard :)
      Nice day to you
      Rosehugs Lisbeth

    3. Good morning dear Lisbeth,
Only some Austin's are having theire last flowers Lisbeth. These Austin are making long new growth in Autmn and where hanging over the other roses so I pruned them.
Also Abraham Darby next to my frontdoor was hanging in the path. And I did not prune these ones in March. At the 11th of May These Austins were already in bloom.
I was lucky that we did not have a cold wintertime. Because I know how dangerous this autumn pruning can be when a cold winter follows. And you keep me sharp. I made a mistake it's Paul Ricard. Thank you!!! I am going to change it ride away.
      Have a wonderful day.
      Rosehugs Marijke

  2. Dear Marijke, so happy for you that you are having great summer weather. And your roses show it too :-)! I really enjoyed the stroll through your rose garden. You have so many particularly lovely varieties like for example rosa 'Erinnerung an Brod', rosa 'James Galway' and the very special gem rosa 'Merveille'.
I always feel uplifted after visiting your blog!

    1. Good morning dear Christina,
This weather makes my heart sing. At 4.15 in the morning the blackbird s in the garden
wake me up "Marijke a brandnew beautiful day to enjoy". It's really lovely now Christina. I did visit a garden at sunday and there was a white garden. And I was thinking of you because I know you love white flowers so much. Beautiful to see but
in the next garden room there was a mixture of orange and peach colored flowers. And I have to say this part was more speaking to my heart.
A couple of month's ago I was overthinking to stop blogging, because so many others are closing theire blogs. I have such a little to tell. No intellegent story's, only photo's of my little garden but I have to admit how I enjoy to go in the long wintertime to my blog and look back how my garden looked that year.
If you are still on holiday, I wish you to have a fantastic time.
Thanks for being so loyal for always leaving such lovely comments Christina.
      Rosehugs Marijke

  3. When my garden has almost no roses, I can enjoy your beuties. Thank you so much, dear Marijke ! Have a gorgeous day, my friend !

    1. Good morning dear Dani,
June has brought a lot of beautiful warm days and that's to see in my little garden.
Having diner in the garden and being outside in the evenings don't happen often overhere. I wish I had your garden. To be able of growing your own vegetables and fruit
must be fantastic. I am sure that what your gard brings you is more tastefull as what they bring us overhere in the supermarkets.
      Have a wonderful day Dani
      Rosehugs my friend.

    3. Good afternoondear Marijke,

Your roses are so lovely! Your little garden have a lot of beauty. Eden rose have survived here, and I guess it will come with some few roses before the winter ;)
      I envy your climate :)

      Have a wonderful evening!
      Rosehugs, Marit

    4. Hello dear Joseline,
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. You have no idea how I missed the beautiful vieuws out of your wonderful garden. James Galway is a fantastic one. To grow an Austin rose takes sometimes 3 years when she showes her real beauty. Mine is 8 years old now and has a hight of 1.80 m. The old canes are more as 3 cm round. A very healthy one. And nice scented too!! What I read about this rose it's better not to prune it in the first 3 years.
Have a wonderful day Jocelyne and please keep going on posting.
      Rosehugs Marijke

    5. Hello dear Marit,
Edenrose is spectaculair this year I never had so many flowers and new canes arriving out of the soil.
My advisi is not to prune it the first years but try to bent out the branches a rose friend told me the year before and it worked. The only thing I miss on this beautiful rose is the scent.
Have a wonderful evening and good luck with your strawberry's.
      Rosehugs Marijke

    6. Merci chère amie pour ton explication complète. En effet, mon rosier n'a pas encore trois ans,, il atteint tout juste 1.20 m et il n'est pas aussi fourni que le tien.
      Belle soirée...à bientôt...

    7. Good morning dear Jocelyne,
The rose is almost without flowers by now. The heat we are having is relieving the flowers so quickly. But I am not complaining the first flush was so gorgeous.
      Have a wonderful day.
      Rosehugs Marijke

      Heerlijke dag gewenst.
      Rozige groetjes Marijke

  5. Good morning, Marijke. So lovely to see all your roses in the sun! They are blooming so beautifully... It must be a magical scent in your garden... I have discoverd many new roses on your blog. I will plant some new roses this year too.
Wishing you a wonderful day in your garden, and Vito too!

    Rosehugs, Ida

    1. Good morning dear Ida,
I am sorry for the late reply. The weather is beautiful and hot overhere so I am outside as long as I can. The scent is really beautiful in the garden. I hope you post a blog about your roses soon.
Have a wonderful day and kisses from Vito!!
      rosehugs Marijke

      me. (lol).

    1. Good morning Yoko,
We are not used to have such beautiful hot weather for such a long time. At this moment I am longing for a little rainy weather. Always something to complain about the weather (fun).
      Have a wonderful week ahead.
      Rosehugs Marijke
